Language Lead

Time commitment 5 hours per week, including online meetings.


As the Language Programme Provision Lead, you will provide leadership for more than 30 volunteers in developing and delivering tailored language learning plans for SWR’s beneficiaries from Syria, Afghanistan, and Ukraine. Your role is crucial in ensuring successful integraton and independence for these individuals, aligning with the charity’s strategic objecives.

Recruitment Lead

Time commitment 4-6 hours per week, including online meetings.  


As Recruitment Lead, you will work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to support the recruitment efforts for our organisation. You will help develop and implement a recruitment strategy and plan to fill priority volunteer requirements, ensuring that we have the right people in place to support our initiatives.

Safeguarding Lead

Time commitment 4-6 hours per week, including online meetings.  


As a voluntary organisation, we are looking for a committed and compassionate Safeguarding Lead to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of those we serve.


The Safeguarding Lead will support the Charity in creating a safe and welcoming environment where everyone is respected and valued. The role involves ensuring that Sevenoaks Welcomes Refugees actively prevents harm, harassment, bullying, abuse, and neglect, and is prepared to respond safely and effectively if problems arise.

Communications Volunteers

Time commitment 2-4 hours per week, including online meetings.  


The communications team at Sevenoaks Welcomes Refugees (SWR) consists of approximately 10 dedicated volunteers involved in various communication activities, including website management, Facebook, Instagram, Mailchimp (emails), press/PR, graphic design, writing, video production, Google Workspace system (Gmail and document storage), and technical support.
